I can't believe it's been so long since I've logged in to dA and updated this journal. It's kinda weird to see that I wrote a journal entry the night before I left for boot camp, and that it's now September and I've done so much.

I graduated Marine Corps Boot Camp in San Diego, CA on May 18th. I then went on leave for 10 days, which I spend in Maui, Hawaii. After that I flew back to San Diego. Back to the depot (BMP), where I spend another 2 months recovering from a stress fracture in my pelvis that I got while in boot camp. On July 24th I went to Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Pendleton, CA for another month. On August 15th I arrived in Pensacola, FL for my Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) school.

So here I am now in Florida. I will graduate around December 5th of this year. After which I'll go home to Wisconsin for about 20 days of leave. My duty station for the next two years(?) will hopefully be Hawaii, or my second choice is England.

I want Hawaii because I love it there (the island of Oahu) when I went there on vacation. But I'd go to England instead because I'd hopefully be able to travel to places like Florence, Italy on leave. I'm doing well in my class so it should allow me a top choice in duty stations come November.

I could write a ton about Boot Camp, BMP. MCT, and my current situation but I won't right now.
